Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding Association (LTRA) is a registered charitable organization. Our registration number is: 107623076 RT0001. As a registered charitable organization, we rely on direct community support and private donations to sustain and grow our impactful programs. The costs associated with maintaining our therapeutic horse herd and facility are simple too large to cover through registration fees from our charitable programs alone.

Where Does Our Funding Come From?

Our funding comes from various sources, including:

• Annual fundraising events

• Tax-deductible donations and bequests

• The Joanne Perlich Foundation

• Various grants

• Fee-for-Service riding camps and clinics, & horse boarding

Importance of Donations

Whether it is a private gift, a final bequest, the beneficiary of an insurance policy, or a corporate donation, all contributions above $20.00 are tax-deductible and serve to strengthen the viability of our programs. Your support ensures we can continue offering therapeutic riding and equine wellness programs to the Southern Alberta community.

How are Donations Used

Unless otherwise specified, donations and the support of our community tremendously aid in the costs associated with the delivery of our therapeutic and equine wellness programming, acquiring needed supplies and equipment, maintaining our facility, and providing care for our animals that are utilized in the delivery of our therapeutic services and inclusive recreational programming.

Transparency and Accountability

We are committed to transparency and accountability in our fundraising efforts. Here are some key points to note:

• Disclosure to Donors: We ensure that all donors are informed about the purpose of their donations and how the funds will be used.

• Financial Statements: We maintain accurate financial records and make our most recent financial statement available upon request. A fee may be charged for photocopying and postage.

• Solicitation Information: Upon request, we provide information about how and where donations will be spent and the percentage of gross contributions spent directly for charitable purposes.

• Donor Privacy: We respect your privacy and offer the option to opt-out of communications. If you do not wish to be contacted, please indicate this in the comments section of the donation form, or contact us at [email protected] or call (403) 328-2165 during business hours.
