How We Plan to Celebrate

Our 50th anniversary isn’t a single moment — it’s a year-long celebration!

Throughout 2026, the spirit of our 50th will be woven into every LTRA event, reflecting our past, present, and future. The stories shared through our anniversary campaign will be featured right here on this website — with new stories added regularly — and across our social media channels so our community can continue to grow and connect through shared experiences. But this celebration isn’t just about looking back — it’s about celebrating you.

Community Celebration & Open House:

July 2026 (date TBD): We will be hosting a special community event for everyone who has ever been part of the LTRA story — past or present. Whether you are a rider, volunteer, staff member, board member, donor, family member, partner, or supporter, this celebration is for you.

What to Expect: • Games and family-friendly activities • Food and refreshments • Meet & greet with our current herd • Awards & special recognitions • A once-in-a-lifetime moment: burying a time capsule to be opened at our 75th anniversary

This event is about connection, gratitude, and joy — and about honouring the incredible community that made 50 years possible. We can’t wait to celebrate with you.

As we celebrate 50 years of LTRA, we want to honour and celebrate the people, moments, and connections that have shaped our journey. Your story is part of that legacy. We invite riders, families, volunteers, partners, and community members to share how LTRA has influenced or impacted your life.

What You Can Share: A meaningful moment you experienced at LTRA | How LTRA has supported you personally or professionally | A photo of you in programs at LTRA or with your favorite horse | What community, connection, or healing through horses means to you | OR anything else you feel worthwhile that occurred at or because of LTRA.

Who Can Participate: LTRA members, participants, volunteers, families, community members & supporters

Incentive: All submissions are entered into a monthly random draw. Each month, one participant will be randomly selected to win a $50 Western Stockman gift card! The winner will be contacted directly.
