Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding Association is mindful of the at-risk riders who utilize our program, our staff, boarders, volunteers, and others associated with us. We are responding according to developing guidelines from government, Alberta Health, and our insurance provider requirements.

Our Covid-19 Response
Alberta has significantly increased the Covid-19 restrictions which will affect us in significant ways. Please review the following rules, but keep in mind that this will change as the situation develops. Check here regularly to monitor if there are any changes:
- The facility is closed to the public; only staff, horse boarders, pre-registered customers, and equestrian care professionals have access to the facility
- For those that still have access to the facility do not bring friends or extended family
- If you have any symptoms which are not related to preexisting conditions which may include sore throat, fever, or shortness of breath, please do not come to LTRA
- A health screening form must be completed by all individuals that come to LTRA property
- Boarders can spend time with their horses, but please be mindful of the social distancing requirements being emphasized by governments and health organizations
- New The office and meeting room will be closed until further notice
- New: All public classes are discontinued until further notice
- New: The indoor arena can only be used by 3 riders at one time - please check the Events page calendar for arena availability
- New: The outdoor arena can only be used by 10 riders at one time
- New: Mask use and social distancing is now required in all indoor places
An exemption allowance has been provided by the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health to allow for the well-being of horses. It can be viewed through the following link:
Health Screening & Waiver
The safety of our riders, volunteers, and staff remains the first priority of LTRA. The following health screening questionnaire is to identify new or worsening health symptoms that may relate to a developing case of Covid-19.
Participants that are not associated with our therapeutic programs:
- Regular participants including boarders, staff, and directors, must complete this form once (you are not required to complete it every time)
- Occasional visitors including farm maintenance volunteers and horse care professionals must complete this form whenever entering the property
Participants that are associated with our therapeutic, camp, and training programs:
- Anyone associated with these programs including volunteers, care aids, directly involved staff, etc. must complete this form whenever entering the property
- Additional infection control procedures are in place for these programs
